Entrance attraction to Animaland
The first photo was taken in 1984 by John Wright. Apparently the image of an unnamed (to me) politician, flogging a dead race was Winston's inspiration behind this monument.
The monument appears to be one of
Winston's signature sculptures. Here is Winston with a demo sculpture that he used
to illustrate his techniques (both this and the second photo above were take in 1967 by
T. Cliffor Hodgson).
The above photo was taken in 1984.
The late Winston Bronnum also designed the Shediac, NB Lobster , the Maugerville, NB Potato , the St. John, NB Horse , the Cow Bay, NS Moose , and the St. Thomas, ON Jumbo the Elephant .
