To Honour famed fiddler Don Messer. Harvey was his hometown.
Rollie MacLean, a local craftsman and master welder, built the
fiddle in his workshop in his spare time. It sits on a metal base
and has a brass plaque inscribed with the words:
"A tribute to internationally renowned fiddler
Don Messer
1909 - 1973
'In celebration of his life and contribution to music'".
The fiddle was painted (airbrushed) in Saint John, NB.
