Plaque reads:
"Dedicated to pioneers who used the natural oak and materials to repair their carts on their journey to points west during the late 1800's. Designed and constructed by Doug Brolund for the Oak Lake and Area Lion's Club. 1986"

This monument was taken down in 2000 because of excessive vandalism. It was being repaired but the community is also looking at placing the statue in a different location so that they do not have to constantly repair it. It therefore may not be up anytime soon.
