Chicken Wire, Rebar and Fibreglass

Location:
South Side of Highway #3, North-Centre part of town

Reason for Building:

The statue was put up to commemorate and honour those who introduced and still promote the wild turkey in Manitoba. "La Riviere was the first area in Manitoba that the wild turkey was introduced"

Erected for La Riviere's 100th Centennial Celebration, August 2, 1986.

Additional Information:

It was designed and constructed by all local people.
