Fibreglass, metal and concrete

Location:
Camel Park, at the Southeast corner of the Junction of Highways #2 and #5.

Reason for Building:

"Sara looks to the north where approximately 7 miles is the start of the Manitoba Desert"

Additional Information:

In 1978, the camel cost about $9,000 (not including the base).

The late George Barone also created the following sculptures:
Viking (Gimli, MB), Skier (McCreary, MB), White Horse (St. Francois Xavier, MB), Sharp-Tailed Grouse (Ashern, MB), Turtle (Boissevain, MB), Winnie the Pooh (White River, ON).
