Reason for Building:

It was commisioned by a man named Mel Brown. Mel Brown lived in Irricana most of his life and did not have any children to leave his money to, so he commisioned this statue as a memorial to himself. Apparently the hotel was like a second home to him.

Additional Information:

The woman in the photo is a little over five feet tall.
